Know the Law
A central full fledged database search engine that holds every thing about laws and right for general public. That is fully searchable and is available to end user and public so people become aware of their rights and laws against different crimes and their penalities.

Oh man. I've always wanted this! I've worked on such a project for the German Traffic law. What I learned from implementing that app is that it can get complicated fairly easily and there comes a point where you realize that an expert system is frankly not possible. A lot of human judgement is involved. This is similar to having health knowledge systems. You will always need help from lawyers and doctors.
But a really good initiative though if we can make this for 'basic rights' of people and/or segregate into criminal and civil law and focus on one particular aspect.
