Isb/Rawalpindi City Interaction app: Posting Non Emergency based Problems for the Local Admin/Govt
The app will focus on bi-directional communication between the public and the administration. Allowing people to post non emergency related problems(for e.g a broken street light, an overflowed garbage bin ...etc) to the designated authorities via phone.Whereas, simultaneously allowing the administrators to look up and respond.Since it is termed "city interaction" we would also like to add a feature where the local government can communicate directly with the public about issues such as, recent development projects, emergency closure of any busy transit routes, health related emergencies or any other tasks. The application will first focus on Islamabad/Rawalpindi but may latter on expand to other cities.

What if instead of just reporting the problem we incorporate a system, where the users are equal stakeholders in the solution of the problems. And in this way it somehow maintains the sustainability of the project as well as inculcating a sense of ownership for their cities and these projects.

We could do that. Setup a local community in each area that can deal with the problem. What say Asim?

That is a good idea but it will come with its own problems. I do not want to sound like a regressive thinker but instilling a sense of ownership will be a tricky task. Though i still feel it is plausible and we were previously thinking on the same lines but decided against it citing the indifferent nature of the public towards solving domestic problems as a reason.
